Huge disk in the sky

Featured Replies

What do think what kind of psychological influence to people it would be to see huge disk of celestial body in the sky. For example 20 degrees. Our Sun's and Moon's apparent size is less than 1 degree. Astronomically this situation is possible if one would live on the moon of a giant planet.

If some people wouldn't dare to be outdoors when this disk would be in the sky, what was the name of this phobia.

i would say that it would make little difference. orbiting a huge planet, and not being able to tap it for resscources might make us more docile, accepting that somethings are bigger than us, or it could make us more agressive, wanting only more to take control until we are able to tap that planet, and after that feeling powerful because we were able to do something huge. but i have no idea really.
