This is more of a question of law, rather than politics...

My question is, why should an international company, owned by a US-based company have to conform to a Brazillian court? Does the Brazilian government actually have the authority to fine YouTube, especially considering that it has no effective method of keeping this video off of their servers.

And if YouTube decides not to pay the fine, who's going to enforce it?

 

I'm basically asking about international law.
