Where do we see ourselves in 10 years?

Featured Replies

With genetic engineering becoming more and more complex at an increasing rate every couple of months, one can make a safe assumption on were we'll be in a year or even 2 regarding genetic alterations on ourself and domesticated animals. But let's jump a little bit farther forward than a year or 2. Lets talk about a decade from now, in the year 2016. Since this is a debate forum, it would be interesting to see different views on the near future.

I don`t think there there will be much change/difference to Now in 10 years time.

AIDS should be more or less treatable though, and not the death sentence is today.

progress empeded by scientific limitations or social restrictions YT?

a little bit of both, 10 years isn`t all great a length of time either, and it takes quite a while for these new things to filter down to the general populous too.

Less genetic diseases. Hopefully Iran never weaponized their nuclear program and didn't blow somthing up.

I think, unfortunately, that our progress in the next decade will not be based upon what our intelligence can achieve, but rather what our lack of intelligence will prevent.
