Some kind of refference system, what with this being a science forum.

 

typing [ sup][ url=ww.blah.com]1[/sup][/url] all the time is annoying, on the admittedly rare occasions when i do.

 

I was thinking something simple like [ ref]ww.blah.com[/ref], being automatically superscripted, linked to the url, and replaced with 1, 2, whatever.

That might be doable. There's a number of changes coming up that we're going to be implementing over the next two weeks so I'll add it to the list.
