I was doing my holiday hw. And encountered ths question. Well, i am not really sure about the answer. So i am shooting the question.

 

The nut and the bolt are so rusty that the nut cannot be turned. What effect may be produced on the nut and bolt by the application of the force? (a spanner is being used to unscrew a nut from a bolt.

 

I need an answer and the reasons.
