Regedit

Featured Replies

Recently, I reinstalled my Window as it's almost a year after the purchase.

To my knowledge, the speed of the computer is inversely proportional to the complexity of the regedit.

I'd like to get a spare copy of my present regedit .

Here came a problem.

I saved my present regedit and I loaded it again.

It started loading but finally, a small window with a statement telling that it can't be loaded as one or more programs are using the regedit/

I have a lot of softwares running in my system .which program should be terminated by a second

Err, most of the computer will be using one registry or another. You can't just overwrite them, they're system critical, or some are anyway.

Also you realise updating your registries with an old version will screw up any changes you've made e.g. updates or new instals.

And some settings in programs...

This is not adviseable but a live cd of some description is probably your best bet, but be warned this could make windows cry like a baby and melt....

The same effect can also happen when you boot windows.
