IIRC the density, when pressed, should be 1.7 grams/cc. I've never milled it wet, I just make sure the mill(rock tumbler) is in a safe place. Never had a problem.

I need it for black powder and smoke bombs, would any fertilizer work ?

 

not really for any sort of explosive you need a high ammonium nitrate and then i think that maybe stump remover may work better and it will be easier to get the ammonium nitrate from a liquid i.e. stump remover
