Orthodontic Retainers?

Featured Replies

What do they use to make the plastic orthodontic retainers that one must wear after having their braces removed. I'm looking for a brand name of the plastic they use. I know it's a fairly quick process so i believe that the plastic starts as a liquid and maybe a hardner is added to make it plastic.

I really just want to know if there is such thing as a liquid plastic which i could buy to make custom housing for my electronics projects. I dont want to buy expensive machines and stuff since i would only be making one or 2 molds a year.

I asked my aunt who is a orthodontist tech. She said they use a Polymer and Molymer Powerder and Liquid mix to create these retainers.

Does anyone know of a brand name of this Powder and liquid mixture used to make plastic.

Use epoxy resin or "chemical Metal".

that`s all I use for stuff I may patent or in 1 shot security devices.

don`t forget to scratch the numbers off your chips/trans etc.. first!

:)
