we are planning to make a solar-powered module car. yet we don't quite undeerstand it works. one big problem is how to connect the solar cell to the engine.

well in all honesty, it really is quite simple, just consider the solar cell as a battery that needs light

when you say "Engine" I expect you mean a DC motor?

you don`t say much about simple details of SIZE (is it a model car or not?)

the characteristics of your DC motor?

motor was what i meant and we are making a model car but using solar energy.

Here is a sample of some cell specs. To ge 1.5V your looking at about 25"sq. and I don't know what weight the cells add.

Lots of motors on google search but you can go to a store and buy a toy just for the motor and free gearing if you want one quick.
