We are planning to make a solar-powered module car. yet we don't quite undeerstand it works. one big problem is how to connect the solar cell to the engine.

rip the electric motor out of one of these personal tape players, the sort that only run on 2 or less pencil batteries.

the solar cells can be ripped out of many things, garden nightlights, calculators etc... use your imagination :)
