RyanJ Posted December 7, 2005 Share Posted December 7, 2005 1) Its probably becuase the reaction occurs faster in a hot substance or the activation energy for the reaction is quite high. 2) The greater the solubility of the dye the further up the testing sheet the dyes will travel, the lower their solubility the lower they will go up the sheet.
