star wars, episode II

The first star wars program may have failed, but it would be reasonable to assume that another one will be started or has already started. Is the concept even possible? And if so, how far do you think we are from being able to make it?

Its much more possible now than when it was originally concievecd!

Nuclear reactors could power the Lazer based weapons (Would require a vast ammount of energy!) and the targeting systems already exist so I'd say its possible right now.

I don't think it will happenm though becuase peopel don't like the idea of having potential nuclear bobm above their heads!

They've certainly been trying' date=' but they've mostly just managed to waste mind-boggling amounts of money so far...[/quote']

No surprise there... The whole project is a waste of time.

They tried before and failed and they'll probably fail now though even though we have the technology required to make the stuff!
