A Question!

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a question, of course. It's about common normal body temperature for hamsters that I want to know, what is it?

I looked this up an a book and what I got was this:

The hamster's body temperature and cheek pouch temperature were maintained at

37°C with circulating warm water.

Not shure is its right but Google seems to give the same answer!

Cheers,

It's body temperature the same for ALL warm-blooded mammals, even person shaped ones?

Not precisely, but more or less. AFAIK, outside of hibernation most endotherms tend to stick to the mid-90's to low-100's range, with birds being most often in the higher end of that and sometimes into 110's.
