Ive been very interested in physics latley and i was wondering if anyone knew of any particular books on physic that would be good for me to read your help will be greatly appreciated.

both by John Gribbin are great' date=' starting with an assumption of school level knowledge and advancing through a lot quantum physics. It's a good book for beginners but even intermediates will find parts of it new or interesting.

I'd second yourdad's The Elegant Universe by Greene.

 

Also it kinda depends on what level of physics you are on at the moment. Obviously a beginner requires a different book to a postgrad looking for a maths filled book.

 

What level are you and how much mathematical content are you looking for???
