The Iceman Cometh

Featured Replies

No, No, I am not talking about the O'Neil play, but the rather fascinating news the the "Iceman" found in Italy and dated at 5,000 years ago may not have been murdered per se.

With Dna showing four different human blood traces, (not his own), the new word is he may have been in a "combat" situation for 24 to 48 hours before his death. Apparently caused by an arrow to the back.

There are also defensive wounds on his hands, rib cage, wrists.

No one knows for sure, but he took at least two of them out. Actually retrieving the arrow from their bodies to re use again.

One theory, it may have been a "boundary" issue with the Iceman and his community.

Oh yes, thats the chap that has accupuncture point tattoed to his body, to help combat the pain of the poorly healed bones apparantly. They have been prodding him with sticks for quite a few years now.
