Redox Reactions

Featured Replies

For my school chemistry coursework (IB level) I have been asked to investigate Redox Reactions. No other prompt.

This is making it really difficult for me to think of a focussed research problem to investigate. Help me with ideas please. =)

Thanks in advance.

talk about what they are

you could even throw in a few practical examples of these and how they help and effect us in everyday life, people like it when they can relate to something on a personal level.

u could also show examples of some- try mg and iodine

Thanks for the replies guys (and girls). Its helped a lot.

You could also take a look at this article I wrote here. It's an article showing the production of sodium iodide from its constituent elements; sodium metal and iodine nodules. There are quite a few pictures and a very basic explanation of what is going on. Feel free to use that article and the pictures in it if you need to.

Why not discuss thermite? Perfect example of a redox reaction for a pyromaniac...
