Physics -- Blood to Brain BPM

Featured Replies

Using this info:

  1. Blood travels 7.5 cm per beat.
  2. In one beat: For .1s, the acceleration is positive 15 m/s^2. It peaks at .75m/s, then there is a negative acceleration (for another .1s) of 5 m/s^2 before stopping at 0m/s. (I am describing a graph here, lol).

Using this info, I need to determine "how many beats of the heart it will take the blood to get from your heart to your brain". I have no idea how to do this....no more info was given and I cannot find any info as to distance from heart to brain, etc. online to help me. This is my last resort haha

That's very odd.  I googled "distance from heart to brain" and immediately got "In most people the brain is only 12 to 14 inches away from the heart, depending upon how tall they are".

(There was also a very strange thing about the distance from the town of "Heart" in the United States to the town of "Brain" in France!)
