too many missing variables? (exponential problem)

Featured Replies

i dunno how to get the fancy text stuff, so ill just write it out.

i have:

96.8 = 72 + 26.6 ^-k(t)

Dont i need to know at least K or T to find out one or the other?

Yes you do, but it may just be asking you to solve for k or t. For instance, you could subtract 72, take the log, and divide by -k to get

[math]T= -\frac{log_{26.6}(24.8)}{k}[/math]

If you want to get values for either you need another equation though.

yeah, i need -k, so i can find out t.

(and how do you do the equation like that?)
