expertiments coca cola

Featured Replies

By "experiments failing", I assume you mean the first and second clips?

First clip: Salt and coke. I've never heard of salt causing soda fizz over like that. If it is true (maybe the water solvating the sodium ions, therefore making the carbon dioxide less solvent in solution), you may have used the wrong salt. It appears they used "popcorn salt", or maybe even potassium chloride (lite salt) instead of sodium chloride.

Second Clip: I've noticed this too myself. I think the ingredients in the mentos have been changed slightly, and as a result they're not as reactive with the cola.
