  1. insightful. . . XD

  2. so what happens when the XYY appears?
  3. thank you very much, i found it now! i looked through everything else on that link without succes. Now, just a thought, could we do it in the forseeable future?
  4. I know it interacts with gravity, insane alien already said this in a previous post
  5. i couldnt find anything on that link but thx anyway, im not very good at finding things! do you (swansont)think that havind a moon collide with a planet could be a very bad thing?
  6. thankyou very much, this has helped me to no end thankz guys!
  7. thank you very much, this has been a great help, both of you, if any one has anything else that may help, it would be greatly welcomed. or if you want to add anything else please do
  8. why exactly does the shape create a higher air pressure?
  9. so you are saying that it DOES interact??
  10. not a great deal, but i read a small article that no-one is sure just why it stays in the air, i just wanted to ask if anyone here knew how?
  11. yep, i do use it for general overview of a subject but if i cant find what im after i usually ask someone. sometimes i get a good answer sometimes a bad one, luck of the draw really. can anyone sum sidereal time up in one sentece so that the average peon could understand?
  12. if a moon collided with a planet it is possible that its orbit may be ever so slightly altered and that may result in a chain of events that could lead the planet crashing into another (THAT would be a good energy producer) or into a sun. surely it is reasonable then to limit the size of objects that you want falling into a planet so as to not disturb it overly much? or would it not matter?
  13. by that i just meant that i would prefer to ask people because you cannot really ask wikipedia questions and get the exact information that was wanted...
  14. are there any simple tests for anitmatter?
  15. wikipedia makes frequent mistakes, i do not like to rely on it, it is my last resort.
  16. i have read very little of antimatter myself, do you think that it could be composed of positrons, or antiprotons?
  17. wouldn't that cause massive destruction and possibly render the planet useless as the impact may destroy the planet?
  18. ok sorry, so how does something have a mass whilst not being made of atoms as we know them?
  19. iNow says above that it must theoretically have mass, therefore it must have a molecular formula right? or am i just confused?
  20. ok, great, so at the moment, we know at best, almost nothing about it, we havent seen it, and it only exists in theory to make our models work well? presumably dark matter must have a formula, does that mean we dont know ANY of it?
  21. will it work in a vaccum then? would it make a good weapon if a particalar country wants to fire at something acroos space? (not much of it mind you several miles perhaps?)
  22. yes, well... not knowing what something is can be a minor setback... In your personal opinion, do you think that it may have any practical applications in the forseeable future?
  23. is is theoratically possible to use plasma as a weapon if we had a meathod of propelling it without it destabalising before it reaches it's target? and how big would the 'Gun' have to be if it was a smaller version of the electomagnetic rings?
