    3He and 3He+2

Electrons have a negative charge (convention) So: [math]3He^{+2}[/math] means you have 2 electrons missing. You might think " Oh, it could be that it has 2 more protons" (wich have a positive charge) but you can not mess with the protons, because they are in the nucleas so [math]3He^{+2}[/math] [math]\rightarrow^{2_electrons}[/math] [math]3He^{0}[/math]
  2. Timbre, and also normaly when you say AAA, it is a higher tone which means it's a higher frequency. and when you say OOO, normaly it's a lower tone. which means lower frequency frequency = tone amplitude = "strenght" ( how loud it is)
  3. it is basicly what Klaynos said think energy if the spheres are perfectly aligned during the colision [math]Ec_{o} = Ec_{f} - Ec_{lost}[/math]
  4. The purpose of this thread is to explain the basic logic of how a formula comes to be, and to explain where do Constantes come from. Please forgive my English Simple to understand, the steps are in order _________________________________________________ Part [math]\alpha[/math]: Let us take a simple problem "In a factory, 2 workers working 6 hours, 5 days a week, produce 100." Now let us think, the more workers we have the more blocks we produce so the number of workers is directly proportianal to the number of blocks produced. Also, the more hours they work, the more blocks they will produce. So the number of hours is also directly proportional to the number of blocks produced. Also(again), the more days they work the more blocks they will produce. So the number of days is also directly proportional to the number of blocks produced. Let us assign variables to each factor B = Number of Block H = Number of hours per day W = Number of Workers D = Days they work in a week We conclude that ([math]\alpha[/math] is the simbol of proportionality) B [math]\alpha[/math] H B [math]\alpha[/math] W B [math]\alpha[/math] D ______________________ B [math]\alpha[/math] H.W.D ----------------------------------------------------------------- Part [math]\beta[/math]: To transform a proportionality into an equality we must multiply one of the sides by a constant B [math]\alpha[/math] H.W.D we will multiply one of the sides by [math]\varphi[/math] B = [math]\varphi[/math](H.W.D) ----------------------------------------------------------------- Part [math]\chi[/math]: Now we must calculate the constante. B = [math]\varphi[/math](H.W.D) using the information in Parte [math]\alpha[/math] 100 = [math]\varphi[/math](6.2.5) 100 = [math]\varphi[/math].60 100/60 = [math]\varphi[/math] [math]\varphi[/math] = 5/3 = 1,66... we have found the value of the variable, now we can calculte any problem involving this information. Example In the same factory as the last problem, we have 5 workers, working 3 hours a day, 2 days a week. How many blocks will they produce? B = [math]\varphi[/math](H.W.D) B = (5/3) . (3.5.2) B = (5/3) . 30 B = 5.30/3 B = 50 Blocks --------------------------------------- I made this up by myself, but many other people probably have thought of this already. Isn't math beutiful =D
  5. o cool, I just have to install java first xD

I am not on my pc :P

i love this board, finaly people who like science =D

  6. Exactly! The video explains it very well with animations and etc. I had to watch it about 3 times to understand it all though xD the last dimensions make little sense at first, but they have logic if you think about it.
  7. you can make a simple hover craft they did it at my school You have to make the air come out and hit the ground with enough force so that you can cancel out the Weight force of the hovercraft F = m.a
  8. [math] W = \Delta Ec [/math] [math] F. \Delta x = \frac{mV^{2}_{f}}{2} - \frac{mV^{2}_{o}}{2} [/math] [math] m.a. \Delta x = \frac{mV^{2}_{f}}{2} - \frac{mV^{2}_{o}}{2} [/math] divide by (m) on both sides [math] a. \Delta x = \frac{V^{2}_{f}}{2} - \frac{V^{2}_{o}}{2} [/math] [math] {V^{2}_{o}} + 2.a. \Delta x = {V^{2}_{f}} [/math] [math] {V^{2}_{f}} = {V^{2}_{o}} + 2.a. \Delta x [/math] Just to show that everything we learn in physics at school is actualy 1 thing Dynamics, Cinematics and etc Isn't is beutiful! (forgive my english)
  9. x = xo + vot + at²/2 989 = 0 + 0.t + a(27,009)²/2 989 = a(27,009)²/2 989 . 2 = a(729,486081) 1978 = a (729,486081) a = 1978/729,486081 a = 2,7114979319255852943409347929697 in feet/second just convert xD
  10. ok try thinking like this 9/3 ; you are asking, how many times does 3 go into 9 8/2 ; how many times does 2 go into 8 0/0 ; how many times does 0 go into 0 or how many times does nothing go into nothing. It is not 1 time.
  11. We live in 11 dimensions, but we can only see in 3 dimensions. Go to youtube and type in '' 11th Dimension " and you will se a great video.
