"The difference is quality of life" I do not agree with the assumption that simply because one has full control over movement and coordination means that they possess a higher quality of life Than one who does not because we can ascertain that his desire to die was based on emotional reasons and physical disability was a contributing factor therefore if he is killed it should mean that anyone with emotional problems should be able to walk into a hospital and ask for euthanasia
  2. And I know I must sound terribly heartless but from a medical point of view locked in syndrome is not terminal..... I don't know whether it can be treated but the principle behind euthanasia is, " If I don't kill him, it will". In this case if the illness is not terminal then.......... In reply to HGrimson it is true that one should not be forced into remaining alive in those conditions but the fact of the matter is that if I come to you with a gun because I can't bear to continue my life how is shooting me any different from carrying out "euthanasia" on that patient whom as you pointed out would normally continue living for 10-20 years

Euthanasia is carried out only on terminal patients on life support also known as "pulling the plug" but this is carried out on patients who wouldn't survive without life support but there is no form of ethical euthanasia in which one carries out killings at the whim of another because that is assisted suicide. Although I am not oblivious to the condition of the patient it should be understood that whether or not one has locked in syndrome emotional instability may be a cause the want to commit suicide, this is why euthanasia is not carried out at ones discretion

Hi I'm also new here although adipose and other tissue substances are not my prefered field I do know that in different locations of the body various adipose deposits that minor area fats serve the purpose of providing the brain with feedback abou health, diet e.t.c whilst Epicardial fat (if present) surrounds the heart and affects cardiac function but Subcutaneous fat which lies under the hypodermis provides some insulation

I personally believe that for change to take place it does not does not require time whilst the two are also not mutually exclusive. unlike forces such as gravity and reaction to action which by the principles of physics are required before ANY change can occur, time is simply a measurement of the rate of change which is a derivative of the rotation of the earth(days, nights, hours, minutes e.t.c) like frames per second in a video game. Therefore by this standard it is believable that change does not happen in time as it is not one of the fundamental forces participating in a reaction, UNLESS in the event of a change that is a Reaction to action which requires time (for example a chemical reaction that requires five minutes for visible change to occur)

So if we were to take a wave diagram with equal apexes and minimum resting points one could ascertain that any part of the wave is equal to any other part parallel to it EXCEPT on opposite sides of 0(N) i.e X = X(oppositeN) so therefore by equating this to colours we can assume that X = -X e.g black and white and N would hold a neutral point regardless of the colour spectrum(white= 1st, black= last, grey=2nd from last e.t.c).Though by accepting this we are also accepting the possibility of a negative colour spectrum where white holds the last position and black holds the first, while N stays constant. so by this standard assuming the plausibility of a definite answer rather than + or -, what position does the colour gray hold? (being that unlike the colour white or black which are absolutes and will readily change into eachother when negated whilst the other colours may change to completely different ones)
