Eugenics will occur however society will NOT call it Eugenics and it will NOT be managed by the government or even scientists. What is happening is called parenthood. Parents will do everything they can afford to give their children an edge up on their competition. They want their children to be attractive, smart, strong and free from any recognized defects. When child reproductive services is advanced enough to screen for genetic diseases, they will. When child reproductive services is advanced enough to correct genetiv defects in embryos, they will. Parents will be able to select their child's gender. Eventually parents will be asked if they would like to determine their child's eye color, or hair color, or skin tone. Parents will be told that they could make their child a little taller, a little smarter, a little stronger, and other enhancements. Eventually, parents who use these services will be seen has having privileged children who have an advantage over others, and society will accept this as just being good parents. This will not occur tomorrow, but it will happen.
