IS it possible to add or remove a proton from an atom so that it will have the same configuration of another element?

Hi I've got a cure for jaundice.It worked on one person.It is ayurvedic and has no side effects. But i've to test whether it really works.And i don't know the procedures. Can anyone please explain how to do the test ? Thnx in advance. im 14 yrs old
