Liberty is defined as the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one's way of life. God imposes restrictions the same way that government does. Therefore by submitting to an authority whether it is your god or your government, you are sacrificing your personal liberty. This is all speculation based on the definition. Please tell me if i am wrong.
