My understanding is that we are supposed to follow the example set by Jesus, by resisting the temptations of Satan. Jesus (in John 8 44) was speaking to those who were rejecting God's will, and so were allowing Satan to be their master. It seems you have taken it out of context, by assuming that Jesus was speaking to all humans rather than just those who rejected Him.

Global Warming. I'm sure that most of the worlds major nations could do a lot more to prevent it than they have been.

Negative energy is one of Stephen Hawking's theories. It is his attempt to provide a rational explanation for the existence of energy and matter that does not require a God to create it. Could you please explain which part of my previous comment the laws of physics disagree with? I'm not quite sure what you mean by asking if I took in the digging a hole part.

Maybe, but we don't actually know that the "negative energy" exists. It is only an alternative theory to God. If everything in the universe adds to zero, then God does not need to exist. However, if God exists, then everything in the universe does not need to add to zero. To me, the existence of negative energy seems less likely than the existence of God.
