Oh, those links. Those are books which I haven't read, and don't own... but read their descriptions, because they are relevant to understanding my confusion.

I can relate. I know the Nagel text but not the other one. I was made interested in the topic initially by Penrose via "The Emperor's New Mind" and "Shadows of the Mind," even though I was not convinced by the argument he was making. I know what you mean about the theorems. In some circles it seems popular to make stretched analogies and metaphysical claims.
