you can make light temporarily into some sort of matter to delfect or absorb the power of bullets etc. Once the danger is gone....turn that matter back into light!

If anyone here plays Halo PC, this fits in perfectly with the mastercheif's energy sheild(that he has with his suit).

Read this article. I dont think light is interconvertible between matter and energy but i think it is a thing that can act as both matter and energy.

I dont think the case is closed, yet. I put up another thread on forum asking if energy can be converted into matter. The answer was yes, and the most well known effect turned out to be Pair Production.

Probably most known effect: Pair production: Photon -> electron + positron.

So no, the case is not closed.

what about an energy sheild??? When a projectile comes a long it vaporisies the projectile (does not deflect). Would that be possible???

I am talking about force fields that can deflect projectiles and other material objects.

Most of us have played sci-fi video games, read sci-fi books and of course, seen sci-fi movies. Now there is one thing that intrigues me, that is: Are force fields and their relatives possible to create in real life???

Have any of you heard of any experiments or research that is going on right now on force fields???
