  1. offtopic: does a shorter half-life mean higher emittance of radiation? (in general)
  2. theyre both quite as soluble. so forget filtration. the diferences in a solution are barely different in numbers (etc. t for recovery in crystal). it is hard. but possible. basicly you must find the biggest diference and use for whatever u figure (etc. solubility). check out both substances in literature. but to answer the question its barely posible to 'neutralize NaCl'.
  3. could an anode be isolated (if in another experiment) with some kind of material that is not corosive and is may pass electric charge? so the athoer material with is gained from the electrolysis would jus stick to the surface of the non corosive material? am i making any sence?
  4. ferments in saliva (the thing that makes water into saliva) is an organic material. however i dont have any knowledge of electricity trough organic materials. i suggest you do a research and post it! maybe youre on to somethin'.
  5. maybe he thought of elektrolysis as in "car battery".
  6. maybe your teacher tryed to explain the coolant systems in simple words, maybe too simple for you get it right?
  7. heat it up and smell it (no, dont do that). dont smell it but see if its turning into thick liquid after losing a lot of water.
  8. if i understood correctly - you want to use yeast to break h2o2 into h2o and o2. rather obvious i think - that the peroxide would just kill the yeast? yet again, what are you trying to do?
  9. yeah, about that, does temperature make the peroxide less stable and makes it divide into oxygen and water?

    Ammonia

ammonia soulution, thats new for me. must refresh my literature to be up-to-date. thank you. so the solution exist only in lower temp.? is that correct? and if risen would make the ammonia 'pop' out?
  11. is it possible to use different oxidizing agents to get the trioxide? etc. KMnO4? could it be lethal knowing that the permangante is not that stable?
  12. H2O2 or hydrogen peroxide is a very interresting compound, (as a kid a had an accident, i drank a sip out of a soda bottle, wich was full of 30% h2o2. the scarriest thing of my child hood. well maybe not the scariest). also higher percentage solutions such as 95-100% are used as rocket fuel or even explosives, which are very unstable. so, 6% concentration of this is used even for cleaning wounds (as well as similar oxidizing agents). i think it would rather burn the bacteria in your mouth, than the flesh of your tongue that would happen with the 30%. i presume it is safe to use hydrogen peroxide for cleaning. p.s. sorry for my bad english.

    Ammonia

you mean gas like NH3? so like not the NH3OH?

    Ammonia

2NH3 + NaOH ---> NH4OH + Na would really not work. not just because of the nature of the Na. However this would be alittle closer to the truth, but... NH4NO3 + NaOH <---> NH4OH + NaNO3 . I guess that should be correct if possible, i cant back it up yet.
  15. Sorry, i do not really understand what do you need. Could you please be a little more specific. you cant find it the soultion? or what? the salt (NaCl) is disolved in the water (h2o), an so you have an aqueous solution of acetone, salt and water. Please be more specific. i'd really like to help.
