  1. I was wondering if you could help me to help my friend. She is extremely obese. She doesn't care of herself nor does she want to go to a doctor. I think that she thinks that she is happy but in her inner, she wants to improve her life but she doesn't know where to start. I am ready to help her but I don't about diet. While surfing on the net, I came through a medication to treat obesity which is called Acomplia. Can anyone help me on this matter? I know she needs to help herself to get better but she needs help before she dies. Any advice would be immensely appreciated.
  2. My father is an addicted person. He lives only for his alcohol; he doesn’t have any goal in his life apart from drinking. Mum is worried for him coz sometimes he becomes violent when he drinks a lot. He refused bluntly to go to a counselor or even to take medication to be alcohol-free. He says that he is living a good life with his bottle. But me and my mother, we are able to do anything to make dad quit alcohol. I’ve heard of a medication called campral which I used in the treatment of alcoholism along with counseling. Dad will not be ready to go to a counselor. Do you think the medication will be effective if we put it in his food?? Can campral be taken in food?? Can anyone give me some advice please??

  4. As the name implies, antioxidants are substances that are capable of counteracting the damaging, but normal, effects of the physiological process of oxidation in animal tissue. Antioxidants are nutrients (vitamins and minerals) as well as enzymes (proteins in your body that assist in chemical reactions). They are believed to play a role in preventing the development of such chronic diseases as cancer, heart disease, stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, Rheumatoid arthritis and cataracts.

  6. In most people, the specific cause or causes of high blood pressure are not known. This is called primary or essential hypertension. In other people, high blood pressure is the result of another medical problem or medicine. When the cause of high blood pressure is known, this is called secondary high blood pressure or secondary hypertension. If a person is diagnosed with high blood pressure, it doesn't mean that he or she is "too nervous," overanxious, or obsessive. This is a popular myth. High blood pressure is not nervous tension. In fact, many people who are perfectly calm have high blood pressure. In addition to lifestyle changes, some people need blood pressure medication to improve their condition. There are many varieties of blood pressure medication; each one works in a slightly different way. People react to medication in different ways, so it's possible that your healthcare provider will need to try a few different types of blood pressure medication to find the one that's best for you. Hypertension can cause heart attack, stroke or kidney failure
  7. Sometimes you don't realize that it is a waste of money by smoking a lot, even if we smoke little, it is waste of money and also a nuisance to health. When I was 17yrs, I started to smoke, then it was with friends only once per day. Then when I left school, it became 5 cigarettes per day and when I joined my first, it became 10 cigarettes per day. It increases day by day like this. I was aware that so much of cigarettes were not good for but I could not stop myself. Then one day I decided that I should decrease the amount of cigarette per day, then I started to smoke only thrice per day. Sometimes I smoke only once or sometimes but I don't smoke more than 3 cigarettes.
