  1. Curving bullets..... two things.. during 2nd world war I believe, they actually made curved barrels to fire around corners 2. YT.. could you tell me how one 'curves an arrow quite easily' ? I used to shoot a lot with pistols, rifles and also with the bow.. curving an arrow sounds completely ridiculous to me
  2. there you go.. now you are being more concise. Don't forget that a 'billion' sun masses is the mass of a medium galaxy... .the amount of galaxies in the universe.... staggering... (2 SBHs merging).. still a ' local' phenomenon, local being let's say in a galaxy cluster and vicinity.
  3. coke.. thats a mild case of sectoral heterochromia alright
  4. I had to piss so was jumping up and down but did that one u linked to and got 140.. as you can see... these online are all apeballs... go and take the mensa one... there is one which in fact doesnt give a crap how much time you use I believe... I struggled with it for months.. and I believe it is more like if you get one or two right.. you are already considered a rocket scientist (which I am lol).. anyway... all these online ones are just shite sorry to break your bubble.. but to fuel ego's as I said to buy a comilation of your 'abilities' . They are so easy it's ridiculous. And carro no merit whatsoever apart form what you already know (that you are fairly good with these kind of problems as you alreayd in school knew if you were a muppet or quite quick ). Get over it. Merged post follows: Consecutive posts mergedand coke... to further my point about online tests.. I went back and redid the same test and now scoring 159... 'jees' I must be Einstein now... (as you can see they are useless, senseless, without merit.. and just a way to try and get morons to buy a report... fine by me .. enough ego's out there.. have actually noticed a bunch of above average IQ peeps which have an EQ (or social intelligence) similar to that of a lamp post). :x
  5. antimatter.. to be honest.. it wasn't meant to be anything actual.. I just said it like a fun thing... discussing a topic 'how to contain antimatter of a considerable size' is a topic for itself. (was purely a statement out of boredom I guess).
  6. btw, abskebabs, which uni you at? (include country please.. ^^)
  7. LMAO.. that moontanman loon classic... can it be any other country.... LOL .. really w00tles
  8. lol.. that was fun to watch hihihihihih.. the spanish ..^^
  9. Also.. although it is kind of a digression.. a colleague/friend of mine is a computer scientist and is part of a group working with a partial metric (the notion of the self distance of a point might be non-zero) and of course as a comp. scientist looks into the continuum* being discrete. (At first it has little to dow with what you say, but in the end he and I, could relate some of our metaphysical and/or mathematical hypothesis'together). Anyway, sorry, this is a jump which is not directly related and takes a little bit of gobbling to do to see why I mentioned it.
  10. SHERLOCK.. im with you on this onw.. but then again.. I don't knwo about you guys.. but abt what 85% lol of 'scientific surveys 'coming out are just bollox anyway.. absilutely clueless.. we have now given the too much resources in the wealthy world contra the 'exploited' world, that so many get educated and end up having to do something.. but lmao.. I am sorry if I say that most of it of the 'professional' world just isn't. That someone comes here, as sherlock points out, is not surprising at all. And lol who said 'decent white one'? LOL... not ONE of them white ones came over 3 % I think.. only some of the non white made it up to like 10ish (and as I said before.. just to break the pattern I felt like giving 15-20 to one of them just to feel I didnt waste a part of my life on that ;p)
  11. LOL... 'NO'I don't think facebook iq tests are likely to be 'accurate' (no pun intended)
  12. hey.. the main use for an antimatter grenade would be to lob it into large incoming celestial objects on their way to earth .. tjihi POOF.. nice light in the sky and ps. coke... listen to insane alien on this one. he is accurate on this and you are as he states, mixing up your wording.
  13. think the burst of energy is a tad over the top :)a supermassive BH has perhaos soem million suns in it mass wise.. that is the energy of one galaxy lets say. you are *not* going to get some energy burst equallign the observable universe hehe.
  14. ye coke... the site was horrendous.. i had to redo it BUNCH of times.. and in the end rerating the same all laong.. and hehe.. which one u gaev 15? I gave abt 5 on all but one (think indian looking with a ring thing) .. just enough to go up to 20 on the attractiveness just cos i felt like i had to put it on someone lol ) Merged post follows: Consecutive posts mergedhope ure not one of them laura.. if so.. it's not personal ^^
  15. Shame I have lost a nice 'paper' some lads made at warwick... (I got it whilst I was studying there).. soooo nice.. real good realtionships, incl. beergoggle factor.. desperation factor.. etc etc. LOL was amazing actually Merged post follows: Consecutive posts mergedthat took ages.. please put at least one decent , just one in . cheers. think like highest attractiveness i voted there was like 20%
  16. Kyrisch.. I think the problem solving Zeno's paradox came even later than Newton actually... it was more like 18th century wasnt it or so.. when the real line was redefined? (zeno's paradox is the one with the half distances all the time right?)
  17. He needed the hour to refresh things he probably had done before. You are right. Having worked for 30 years on his own farm (or at a farm) gives him a lot of practical experience, wisdom and know how to solving problems which occur. My advice is to him (since he is asking you) to not worry too much that his experience won't stand up. He should make the resume conventional , but add sides.skills about him which are derived by his work/life in the resume I'd say. If he gets an interview it's important to show one is not feeling insecure or without confidence. A man who knows many things is naturally confident, not insecure.. this is important to convey. How to make it sound more technical is something I guess you guys will know better how to present than us. that's my 2 pence. I would recommend him to start brushing up a little bit on some books on what he educated himself to help him rememebr some of the things he did.. .also makes it easier to correlate to potential discussions questions duruing an interview.
  18. I'm assuming since this is so old that insane aline got it etc? kevinalm has really given the fundamental help away without literally spelling it out. Take what you know.. write down all permutations.. Why does the person after seeing the housenumber still need more info? There is one ambiguity however which is why maybe some people wonder... the riddle assumes the oldest* child is not* a twin (or a triplet). with that ambiguity pointed out, it now is pretty easy to figure out.
  19. the first two give +1 , latter two give 0. 2nd one violates mass energy no?
  20. I assume since you are launcing an egg , it is part of the assignment to have it land intact or ideally splatter in the launchbox? (since you say protection I assume it is meant to try and remain whole). Anyway.. for protective housing.. think civil engineering: The best way to avoid the egg to crack is most likely to not let it move around inside your housing.. thus paper.. and or some inner design which holds it in place AND has shock absorbing ability is good , coupled with a outerhousing which does not deform to much (deformation though absorbs some of the impact energy but too much deformation and you will crush the egg). For the launch, think aerodynamics. for longest time in air... get a decent launch .. as people say.. you can have a tense rubberband sling across the box, with the egg housing in the centre.. make a hole (or have a small spindle at the bottom) in to pull a string through to pull the string and egg down to the bottom. Release... for optimal time in air.. think aerospace: Aerodynamic design will make your box fly higher.. but any flap system which will be released as it starts falling down again will increase drag and thus time in air on its way down.. Create a symmetrical (go for 3 or 4 fins/flps. parachute system) to keep it in air.. ps. parachute system seems good to keep in air but heavy penalty for horizontal wandering. by creating fins/flaps which will stick out when the 'missile' starts dropping , by havign an angle on the flaps so that the vessel rotates should give it greater stability as to make it drop vertically as ideally as possible. Good luck.
