  1. My science project is centering around the idea of exercise and its effect on the mind. I want to get test subjects, make them do a maths and reading standardised test and then get them to do take a similar test the next day after doing fifteen minutes of mild exercise to see the difference in performance. I would like to know if you think this project is good enough to win a regional science fair. Thanks a lot, Rachael.
  2. Thank you very much, so far I've found the site invaluable. Thanks again :) x Rachael
  3. I'm in year ten and I'm looking for an idea for a science project involving Chemistry that is capable of winning a sectional science fair. I'd like an interesting idea that the judges might not have seen before and it must include something that I can test. I want to do something very different and interesting, Thanks, Rachael
  4. OKAY, after a solid Saturday of research i'm a bit more set now, please refer to my other thread http://www.scienceforums.net/topic/55197-cryobiology-again/. Thanks a lot for all of your help, it is really appreciated. At my school you only ever have the chance to enter a science fair once so I am very excited and want to WIN!! Thanks again :) Rachael
  5. I want to freeze a goldfish and bring it back to life (yes people, it IS possible) but now i need something that can be my aim (aka what i'm testing) so far i have one idea but i don't think it's very good, testing the theory that fish can survive in glaciers and completely frozen ponds. However, since liquid nitrogen does not mimic a glacier for time it takes to freeze the fish or the length of time the fish is frozen for and there aren't many goldfish swimming around Antarctica I don't think it is a good aim. I sort of have my heart set on liquid nitrogen so an aim that could incorporate that and be capable of winning a state science fair (year 9 & 10) would be so awesome. Thanks guys
  6. I'll work with anything. I have access to average high school science facilities. The only thing i'm really certain on is that i want to do cryobiology.
  7. Hi my name's Rachael and I'm currently looking for a science project involving cryotechnics. I can afford to spend a bit of money on this project as i can apply for CSIRO crest award funding that could be about $500. Thanks so so so much
