  1. Since this is the "Computer Help" forum, i guess you need help for computer side of this project.

If you dont want to learn html and all related thigs, the easiest way is to use a cms system or blog system. You should decide on one of these yourself! CMS is for regular sites with thousands or hundreths of categorized content. But blogs are easier to manage for you. There can be lots of other comments about them, just research on it..

For CMS resources you can check this list and for blog resources you can check this list.

You can find lots of tutorials/help/resources for well known CMS/blog systems in these addresses. In my opinion, the best geenral purpose CMS is joomla and blog system is wordpress.

  2. There is a website called, Conversations About Plant Biotechnology (http://www.monsanto.com/biotech-gmo/), in which ordinary farmers narrate their experiences with genetically modified foods. From Africa to Europe, to Asia, to Latin America and North America, farmers tell of how genetically modified crops have boosted their economic standing. Genetically modified crops, they say, yield high, require fewer pesticides and herbicides, and therefore save farmers millions of dollars. Make a point of visiting the site to read for yourself what farmers think of genetically modified crops.

You are right, it seems that the guy is working for Monsanto.

But in my opinion, spam is mostly related to value. He is not sending a message to our mailbox (which should be considered private), he is sending a message to a public forum. And the main points are whether the information is related and useful for the community or not.

I think it is related to forum and adds a value. So it is not really a spam in my opinion.

But these are just my general comments. If majority of people in this forum consider this post as spam then this should be considered spam for this forum in my opinion. And the last word is for the forum owner of course since s/he is free to add extra rules to this forum..

  3. ... and it certainly needs hardware vendor support before it can go much further.

Yes i agree with this part of the comment. Based on my experience, if you dont have a relatively old pc, it is difficult to find all drivers installed after installation but windows is more powerfull on this (at least vendors provide windows drivers with cd).

  4. Consider a balance around the tank. The only way the amount of dye can change over time is if dye flows in, flows out, or is created or destroyed (like via a chemical reaction).

    In words, this looks like:

Change in amount of dye per unit time =

Amount of dye that flows in per unit time

-Amount of dye the flows out per unit time

+Amount of dye created per unit time

-Amount of dye consumed (or destroyed) per unit time.

I've written the necessary equation in words, you should be able to write the equation in symbols now.

    Good explanation.

  5. Memory is where everyhting goes nuts for me - memory is the connection between two or more neurons, how does that actually work? How can your brain know that set of conections there means x and that there means y. Its really very interesting and facinating all at the same time. Also how does your brain know where these memories are located and where are they located, are they located in one part of your brain or are they linked everywhere throught it?

I think Artificial Neural Networks are very simple models of how memory works in brain. Hopfield model is such a one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hopfield_net
