OK thanks! Perhaps soneone can answer a simpler question. Is it possible to rinse the same area of say an adhesive surface using chemicals twice? In this case, the first time it was rinsed, they discovered traces of cocaine and no heroin. The second time they rinse the same area (1 year later) and discover narcotine, morphine etc. How's that possible?

I know because he is not alone and his partner is avery respectable proffessional who is in charge of their financial and social affairs. In any case, if there is anyone on this site who is qualified to give a full and accurate opinion, it is more than likely they will refer their solicitor to contact him / her and pay for their services for a formal report. As for the 10 years, that is what the CPS is saying, because apparently, the residues discovered could only have been left there 10 years ago!

I urgently need help on a topic of discussion with a close friend, who feels he has been set up by the CPS concerning some residue of a controlled drug. The CPS are claiming that very small traces of narcotine, monactylmorphine and morphine were found on a surface, and because: 1. monactylmorphine is a breakdown product of diamorphine (heroin), 2. It in turn breaks down into morphine, 3. monactylmorphine is commonly seen along with narcotine in illicit drugs, 4. Diamorphine residue would break down (by itself) into monactylmorphine and morphine, over a period of 10 years or more, it is a proof that the traces found were once diamorphine (heroin). What's not clear above is: a) Would diamorphine really break up over a period of 10 years or more into the chemical residues mentioned above, at its own accord? b) Are there any other products/substances besides heroin that can leave such a residue over time? (I found out narcotine is sold and used legally in medication) c) what other prescribed products may contain monactylmorphine - especially in powder form if there are any, as an alternative to heroin being its source? c) Would narcotine break up into monactylmorphine and morphine over a long period of time? d) Is there any official research into breaking up of chemicals like heroin over a time period, or a list of such chemicals with their expected life spans? If so where can I get the information from, online? Any help on the subject will be very much appreciated - thanks!

Some of the most controversial issues lie in environmental sciences which may include global warming, green energy, diminishing natural world resources etc. Why not have a subsection dealing with such issues?

And I heard the North Koreans found out that the Western world hates "gingers"! Hence they are loading the hydrogen peroxide plus some kind of orange dye "bottom side up", so that when it explodes the polluted atmosphere will turn everyone's hair to ginger. Thus causing anarchy and terror between the members of the concerned society.

Thanks for that - it is a great invention because it is the actual screen that is manupilating any input source, so it can be used for a laptop, TV, mobile whatever! But at those prices for only 15 inches, the use will probably be confined to laptops and mobile phones... My own enquiries since I posted this topic has shown that although at tleat one well known brand's manufacturer has designed a prototype, actual mass production is a long time to come yet. Also, just like with any such new invention, the quality will be low and the price sky-high. So, for now, I think I'll be safe with buying a conventional HD flat TV.

Has anyone heard of any future plans for producing TVs (and PCs maybe?) producing 3D images? I am about to invest a lot of money on a very large screen TV but feel a little reluctant. The science is advancing so fast, I keep getting this feeling some manufacturer is holding back a nasty surprise for prople in my position. If anyone has heard of any recent 3D imagery plans for TVs please let us know...

This must be the nerve I am referring to! It was crushed because my elbow was pressed in the same position in bed for 12-18 hours. The two fingers had permanent tingling sensation and cramps. I had one operation where the nerve was moved to a new location along the bone. That was 30% success in the sense that there is very slight tingling sensation left in the finger next to the little one, but the little one is still the same. Also if I write for a long while, I get serious cramps starting around the outside of he wrist and going down to my two fingers, lasting for many minutes. What I like to find out is, if there is an operation that can get rid of the tingling and cramps completely. (sorry for th elate response - I have just had a long holiday abroad).
