You're too late. I've already set in motion a series of events that will collapse the universe into a form that I dictate. My sphere of decision is expanding outward at the speed of light and cannot be altered by anyone but ME!!! HA HA!!!

From my perspective, Big Bang Cosmology (Inflation) is identical to the growth of a black hole. As such, there is no doubt what causes the cosmological redshift. The difficulty arises when speed-of-light timelags affect what the observer would see. Predicting what the universe would look like using relativity from a viewpoint outside or inside the black hole, or whereever, is non-intuitive. But we can look through our telescopes and see the result from at least one of those vantage points.

I'm surprised engineers would be having trouble choosing a viable solution. One should be skeptical of anything expensive or speculative, such as hybrid cars and hydrogen fuel cells. Fortunately there IS an engineering solution, and it might be the only solution. Debate here:
