Ya this is complete shot in the dark but did you try spinning the magnet the opposite direction, perhapse that would repel the other magnet. to me, having not much magnet information, i would believe that the spin is changing the direction of the normal megnetic force? Thats just a guess very interesting though.

    Yes i understand that gravity would be the same, but my question is does the graviton agree with general relativity or is is a different subject so to speak?

    What is it that the supposed graviton is supposed to do to cause gravity? Does it coinside with relativity ie: does the actual graviton particle repel space-time? Any help would be awesome..
  10. From what i understand black holes evaporate due to vacuum fluctuations. Could these fluctuations happen if the entire energy of the universe were in the black hole, iguess is the real question. Thanx
  11. I'm sorry, yes i meant all of the contents of the universe. Would it be possible that all of the energy of the universe was sucked in to the black hole? If so could it again evaporate?
  12. What If, and this is a big If, the ENTIRE UNIVERSE were consumed by black hole, would it still evaporate? This question drives me crazy?
  13. That makes a lot of sense. When black holes "eat" matter the overall entropy of the black hole has to increase. String theory proves this is possible but i have never heard of cossing dimensions to overcome this paradox, sounds really cool though, youve got me interested.
  14. String theory cosists of very complicated math and as such no solid predictions can be made. String theory is also all theoretical but it is becoming more and more renoud as the problems string theory can solve are astounding. An example is it can tie relativity with quantum mechanics, or so ive heard. The basics are that the entirety of out universe, that means everything, is composed of strings. Strings are one dimensional objects with length and tension. In string theory strings are supposed to be the fundamental ingredients of the universe. Strings behave just like a guitar string. They can have diferent tensions and lengths and just like a guitar with different tensions and lengths produces different notes, a string in string theory produces different vibrational patterns. In string theory the different vibrational patterns which can be exihibited produce the different particles seen in the univers and their respected properties. EX: A group of strings can resonate together to protuce a electron. Because of the specific vibrational pattern the electron has a negative charge and a spcific spin and also its givin mass etc. There is so much to string theory and the more modern brane theory but If you want more specific answers ask a more specific questions as im sure there are many people here who would like to help. If you are truly interested there is a book called The Eleagant Universe by Brian Green which explain all of the theories and how they came about. You should check it out. Good Luck

    Gravity?

    Alright, makes sense. how bout i reword my question. Assuming General Relativity is correct, and the force of gravity is caused by a deformation in space-time, is there a minimum amount of deformation in space-time possible? Is there a minimum detectable force of gravity?

    Is there a maximum distance that gravity could be detected? Assuming any instruments could be used? (invented or not) And would there be a minimum force that gravity could cause? or is there no minimum Any help would be great.
