We are currently in Plate Techtonics in Earth Science, and I'm having a complete brain freeze. I know..this may sound stupid but... What kind of data did Hess collect that allowed him to develop his theory of sea floor spreading? Why is the oldest seafloor crust found farthest from a mid ocean ridge? How can the magnetic orientation of rocks be used to trace the way a continent moved and drifted?
