  1. I have been having some trouble with my pool. I have been told that I have to raise the calcium level in my pool by adding calcium hardner. However, when i do this the Chlorine is dissapearing. Does anyone know if there is a certain chemical reaction that these two are having?
  2. Can someone please help me with this problem? a gas was found to have a density of 1.13 g L-1 at 22.0 C and a pressure of 755 torr. What is the molecular mass?
  3. I don't remember hearing anything about displacement. Oh well, I guess my equations make no sense. Thanks everybody.
  4. I dont know why the elements that are in there are in there. It was a chemistry lab in my class. We were to mix the first things in each of the equations, and then it would turn a certain color. In the second one for example, it turned into a dark brown solid and that supposedly meant it turned into what you see on the other side of the arrow in each equation. Im not sure if i am setting up the equations correctly however. It was an expirement on oxidation reduction. I hope that helps. Thanks again for looking.
  5. The +4's and other numbers are the different charges, I just didn't know how to write a superscript. The number after each equation is supposed to be a subscript. Thanks for trying everyone.
  6. 1)KMnO4+H2SO4+Na2SO3 -> Mn+2+SO4-2 2)KMnO4+NaOH+Na2SO3->Mn(OH)2+SO4-2 3)K2C2O4+H2SO4+Na2SO3->Cr+3 +SO4-2 4)K2C2O4+NaOH+ Na2SO3->CO4-2+SO4-2 5)K2CrO4+H2SO4+Na2SO3->Cr+3+SO4-2 6)K2CrO4+NaOH+Na2SO3->Cr2O7-2+SO4-2 Does anyone know how to balance these equations? I know you have to add some things from the left side to the right but i dont know what. Please help!
