  1. Thanks, and it's due this Wednesday. I think I'm just going to save time and buy a small set of white christmas tree lights and take out the bulbs that I won't use. I'll try to stop by Radioshack and ask if I get the chance, though. And it's inches, not feet (which would be pretty huge for a diorama).
  2. I want to know what type of light I would need that would light up just a 8x8 (or less) amount of space. I want them to all 5-8 of them to light up simultaneously when I press a button. What I'm looking for is the specifics: What type of bulb would I exactly need? What kind of wires should connect them? How do I connect the wires to the bulbs and the power supply? Could I cover the wires with drywall? Where can I buy all of this (near Chicago or Park Ridge, IL)?
  3. I am doing a diorama for my History class, and I have to do a art museum featuring Hans Holbein the Younger's works. Right now I plan to have plywood as a base, then drywall, then paint for the wall and plywood, cement, and tiles for the floor. The pictures in is will range from stuff like 2x2 to 4x8 to 4x4 etc. Which comes to my question: How could I create some lighting for this? I want to have small light bulbs (very small, 1/2 inch diameter or smaller) or some LEDs, but how would I do that (what tools would I need, how much would it cost, etc.)? I want to have 5-8 lights, and I also want a on-off switch (preferrably small, like a house light fixure where up=on and down=off, but downscaled to about 1/2 inch x 1/2 inch). Thanks in advance. This is kind of urgent because it is due this Wednesday (I learned about it yesterday).
  4. Does anybody know where to get pictures of the inside of the zion nuclear power plant? If not, then can anybody show me the inside of a power plant that's similar to zion nuclear power plant?
  5. Thanks for all the info, this will really help me out. Too bad it's not like how I imagined it, though, it would have been a lost easier that way
  6. Specifically, I'm looking for something along the lines of this: Rules and Procedures (this is just an example) 1. Put on XXX before entering room XXX 2. Do not enter room XXX unless in case of emergency 3. Be careful when handling XXX 4. Be careful while in room XXX 5. Never enter room XXX because (insert reason here) 6. Never do (insert action here) 7. Never (insert action here) without the help of another worker etc etc etc...you probably get the point now. The way I picture it, there is a piece of paper hanging in every hallway/room in a nuclear power plant that has the 5, 10, 15, 20, or whatever amount of most basic guidelines/rules/procedures that all nuclear power plant workers should know by heart (like the example list I made). Am I right (or close) compared to real life nuclear power plants?
  7. So is there any hope of me getting the concrete information I need? The FOIA request thing will probably take me long (my report is due Feb. 14th). Even just a basic set of 5 or 10 rules/procedures/precautions would be fine (but serious ones, please).
  8. Thanks for the link. I tried google search but all I get is stuff like nuclear power plant accidents and security against terrorists. What I'm really looking for is something like a regulation handbook for the Zion plant (or some other plant), something like an exact list of rules/regulations/precautions. By the way, would anybody know how to get in contact with the Zion Power Plant? I know it's decomissioned, but there are still people working there (maybe they could help me?). How would I get in contact (other than driving there)?
  9. I'm doing a report in school and my topic is safety procedures/rules/precautions in a nuclear power plant (specifically the Zion Plant near Chicago, Illinois). Can anybody tell me where I could find this information?
