  1. People have told me that I am: Paranoid. "Kind of" sociopathic. Handsome. Ugly. Intelligent. Wise. Stupid. Skinny. Crazy. Funny. Boring. A loser. Too serious. Blasphemous. I have a friend who informed me that I'm just like Dr. House from House, M.D. (i.e. disgruntled) I like that I'm intelligent--not to be vain in any way. I also like that I'm secular, because I can't believe I used to be a Christian Fundamentalist.
  2. Something tells me that the majority of earth would not agree with this plan.

    1+1=2

    Does this, in short term, prove that 1 + 1 = 2, then? S(x) + S(x) = S(S(x)) S = Successor ; x = Natural Number. x is 1 ; S of 1 is 2. Thus, 1 + 1 = 2 because S(x) + S(x) = S(S(x))?

    1+1=2

Addition is an axiom of mathematics, or am I wrong? I heard that the Peano Axioms can prove 1+1=2, but I don't really know why or how. Can any of you more advanced students dechiper this? (I'm only a freshman in high school, remember, and it's frustrating to not be educated higher in math.) So, if anyone can relate this to me, I'd be grateful.
  5. Well, it's a good guess, better than I could of pondered. dOg: Thanks for the link, I'll take a look at it.
  6. Would there be any statistical equation that proved how to solve a rubik's cube?
  7. So this would disprove Zeno's Paradox? Or am I missing point? The article states, I believe, that the physical world and speaking of philosophical means are two different things. So, would Zeno's Paradox be on track or off track with this particular subject?

    aliens?

There are hundreds, thousands, millions, billions, trillions of planets, I believe I heard, that exists in our Universe. What are the chances that there is no life on any of those other planets? Slim, but I also think that many of these alien conspiracies are nonsense. Here's the reason many UFO sightings occur: Lenticular clouds. They look like UFO's if you're actually telling yourself you're witnessing an alien encounter, doesn't it? Nope, they're nothing but water vapor in the air.
  9. I love how all these Chick Tracts show the quiet and oppressed Christian, while the Big Evil Atheists are constantly abusing them in all ways. And that tract still doesn't prove how a Sky Fairy will send you to eternal torment if you don't love Him.
  10. Hey, I'm a freshman in high school taking Geometry right now, we just finished a segment of a chapter on sines, cosines, and tangents. Oprah/Has = Opposite/Hypotenuse = Sine A/Huge = Adjacent/Hypotenuse = Cosine Old/Asymptote = Opposite/Adjacent = Tangent Ha ha. But, I digress, here's my question: What's the basic way to work out problems pertaining to this area without a calculator? I saw a table, but she (the teacher) would never teach us in class how to use it. (I hate being so dependent on calculators.)
  11. I chose absolutely, but then began to read some other people's opinions. I didn't take this into worldwide consideration. I mean, I don't want everyone else to be immortal, just a select few? If I were immortal, I would get the chance to further my education in all aspects, become rich, live out all my fantasies and dreams, I would have unlimited time, thus unlimited time to make money to fuel my desires. If it were people that would put it to good use--yes. Otherwise, I wouldn't want a bunch of immortal McDonald's workers who intended to stay like that and have babies they couldn't afford to raise forever.
  12. Yeah, the most I've seen are those replicas which cost around $100. However, if you actually created a real one, it'd sell for a cornucopia o' cash. My best guess is for a full metal rod, which resembled a handle at the bottom or whatever... then for a laser to engulf the upper two thirds of the metal rod. Is there any type of material that could stop a laser? You could put it both at the top of the handle, and at the top of the full rod. I dunno, I'm not familiar with this type of stuff.
