  1. Do you think the cup has anything to do with the Holy Grail?
  2. Genecks, I have seen this behaviour for children between 2 and 3 years of age. They do this when they don’t get what they want. They are both from entirely different families.
  3. Thanks for that Sabbath.. It is reassuring to know it’s a common behaviour because I have come across few children who does this and it’s discomforting to see them hurting themselves. It is extremely difficult to discuss this with their parents as it may result in anxiety. Saying that, I also don’t want to sit and ignore the situation either. If it’s normal amongst toddlers, then I am happy to leave it as it is but if it’s a more serious matter I feel the urge to make the parents aware of the situation.
  4. Guys, does anyone in here know anything about why some children hit themselves on the head when they are frustrated? I find this really strange. Can anyone help?
  5. I may not be the best looking guy here, but i am the one talking to you!
  6. What is the history behind giving the winning "CUP" to the winners!! Its practiced worldwide! Anyone know what the story is?
  7. I sometimes have dreams about solving my own queries. I actually do this in my dream and forget the whole solution when I wake up!! On occasions I remember the solution and its so wired how my brain comes up with solutions without me having to think about it!!!
  8. Well, gmail is a lot faster than all other accounts and it’s less cluttered and easy to organise. Gmail gives you an option to setup your other emails addresses into gmail, see link http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?ctx=%67mail&hl=en_GB&answer=20616 but when you pretend to send it from another email address, it also shows up the gmail address which really spoils the whole idea.
  9. On my gmail account, I have set up to reply using another of my email accounts yet when someone receives it, the address shows as on behalf of “hotmail.com”.. I don’t want this to appear. What is the point of sending it from gmail if the whole of the gmail address is going to show. Does anyone know what i am talking about?
  10. I see.. so basically the shared electron is fixed in position almost like it has been clamped. But when “Na” loses its electron to “CL”, the “Na” atom is held together by that single electron so basically it dangles from this single electron. I am so getting interested in the electron configuration of atoms. It’s amazing to think that shifting a few electrons can change the physical appearance!!
  11. wow! i need to understand this before coming back with queries!! I guess my original query was, when 2 atoms (A & B) share an electrone, which orbit does the electrone follow? A or B?
  12. Ok, well basically "Na" has one electrone on the outer shell and "Cl" has 7 electrons on the outer shell. When "Na" is on its own, its electrone orbits around its nucleus but when it loses its electroen to "Cl", does this mean the lost electrone will never ever take an orbit around "Na" even though they form a compound? Have i confused you even more?
  13. but isn't the distance from "A" to "B" by air longer than by land?
  14. TimbaLanD

    electrone

when Na+ combines with Cl-, we get NaCl. Which orbit does the electrone take? Na or Cl?
  15. "The nautical mile was historically defined as a minute of arc along a great circle of the Earth" i am confused as to why they used it for aircrafts!
  16. Can somone explain to me what a nautical mile is?
  17. TimbaLanD

    de ja vu

I just had one!!! Its amazing, how is this possible!!!! I am confused!!
  18. One more... How can you possibly stand behind your dad while he is standing behind you?
  19. Ok, while on the subject let me post one!!! You have to do this by logic only, do not use any calculation. Let’s see if you can!! “A tree doubles its height every year until it reaches its maximum height in 10 years. At which year was the tree half its MAXIMUM height?” Remember, don’t use any calculations!!
  20. Follow your instinct but be careful of being brain washed. Why would anyone care what you believe in? Follow your instincts, it always works for me.
  21. I think I’ll do some research into it and will let you guys know of the outcome.
  22. Does anyone know how to create a pixel website? How do I go about this?
  23. Padren – Actually we all stated off with web design with me doing the design work, one looking after the finance, one looking after marketing and the other keeping an eye on operations. It has worked fine so far and the clients have asked us to design logo’s and prepare slogans and mission statements for their company. It’s so far successful but the workload is expanding and I can’t alone do all the design work. It takes a lot of time to design a logo or a website and some clients have asked us to design sign boards and even asked us to propose names for their business. This is all good but I have no business experience. I am more of a creative designer plus I have a full time job!! I am not sure how to take it from here. I was thinking maybe I can employ a designer and so that I can do the consulting but this maybe expensive so we all decided to rethink our business. I actually want to invent something but the guys are not too keen because they have no knowledge of engineering. We each now have a task to come up with an idea for this Sunday. This was why I started this thread! )
