  1. It depends. My mom is 5'0" and I'm 5'11". I have no idea... maybe someone already proved how it all works. Drink lots of milk.
  2. Big squid does not equal Architeuthis.
  3. Animals are not our equals. We eat them, experiment on them... society has put them in a lower class than us. The question, "How would you feel if...?" Is irrelevant, because we will most likely not have to see through their eyes because animals do not have the mental capapbilities to overthrow us. When and if they do, they deserve to treat us like animals, so to speak. But we are not equal. We are the superior race- the predator. That is like saying a lion is equal to a gisele, or a frog to a fly... we are higher on the food chain, therefore, even in the animal's eyes, we are not equal. Even though they should be treated with respect and the such because they are living things, it would be crazy talk to say that we are equal.
  4. No idea. Info like that would help me, too.
  5. I am pretty sure most colleges look at SAT scores, however, it is less important to some schools. And most schools are very interested in what you do outside of school, like hobbies, voluenteer work, etc.
  6. But the arms race to become the better species is between the two animals, not an element vs. the enviroment. It could work that way, you're right, but that is not the theory in text.
  7. I sleep soundly at night hoping that the technology then will be enough to create an artificial sun/protect the earth from the sun. Seriously, one billion years is a very long time, and I'm sure that by then, there will be artificial everything.
  8. It might be, but what bacteria would I use? Two "enemy" bacteria that are readily available... I can't think of any, but that's because I am not familiar with them. Any suggestions?
  9. The theory of The Red Queen's Race states that both prey and predator evolve at the same rate, and in doing so, stay the same ratio-wise, because as one becomes steadily harder to catch, the other becomes the better hunter. I was wondering if there was an experiment that could be created to test this theory in light of the way bacteria adapts in human or animal cells and if the theory applies to that as well. Any suggestions? (I know that in my lifetime, I probably couldn't test evolution- but would adaptation be synonymous enough with evolution to the extent that I could test the rates of their adaptation and see how it compares?)
