I've been pondering things like this too. And I have a question. What makes us ourselves? I'm not talking about personality, but why am i this person and not the next? What exactly is it in me thats makes sure i stay me. Most people will answer a soul. But what exactly would that be made out of in my body?

there are a lot of reasons i see to us losing our hair. i think another is because we are capable of cutting off the skin of another animal with fur to keep us warm in the cold. And only our heads poked out so maybe thats why we have a lot of hair on our heads too.

what about what they do in places like taiwan? they have a stove top turned up and then put the chickens on it live. and they dance around screeching cause of their feet getting burned. then the chef takes a knife and chops off their feet and serves them up. i think its kinda silly that we have any feelings for these walking peices of meat. I don't think they even care if they are alive or not, they are just there. And they may be able to sense pain but not sadness. And when they do sense pain its not the same as how we sense it. Their minds work more like a machine, and we don't cry when we have to turn off a computer cause just like the chicken, it doesn't care.

i think there is a game in development where you create your own species and evolve them in different ways going from 1 cell to a civilization. then create a space ship to go see other people's planets and creatures. i don't remember what its called but it sounds interesting.

i read a thing about this. and they explain how our perception of what came 1st is distorted. someone dreamed they were playing soccer and kicked a ball and their foot kicked irl. but actually their foot kicked 1st and they made up the dream after in a split second but timing is distorted.

lol, for one it would take a ton of fuel to get up there. then theres the cost of the spaceship and how many people we can fit in it. then you gotta be right on target when coming down. then theres landing which is impossible unless over the ocean. then theres the danger of it all. and the earth doesn't rotate that fast anyway so by the time you would get to your spot you could have already been there by some other way

weed is illegal for several reasons. none are because it harms you in any way. i think the main reason is cause it cannot be controlled. anyone can grow weed in their backyard. nobody would be able to make much money off it. and other companies would lose a lot of business. people may switch from alcohol to weed. alcohol is much more dangerous than weed but its still legal mainly because its not easy for people to just make their own. and as for brain damage, weed may cause some short term memory loss while high but not after and there are no long term effects.

I'm just glad i get to be apart of something as great as life Its way better than being eternal nothingness.

JC1, you must understand that the belief in evolution isn't against god at all. We were put on this earth and given many many clues to how things work. Scientists examine these clues and come up with the best possible reasons for these things happening. Evolution seems to fit it best, and people can actually watch it happen. Species are very good at adapting to their environment. They change and evolve over very long periods of time. This does not mean that god does not exist. We are all just human, how do you know that any religion at all is correct? Religion is always non changing and passed down thru generations of families. There are so many loopholes and things in religion you would not agree with, but people pick and choose which ones they like and which they don't. But its just too plain simple to say one thing is correct and stick with it. We need to change and evolve our own ideas to fit them with what we know. I beleive in God too, but i don't think anybody's religion is correct. Science has nothing to do with God because it doesn't matter. Scientists seek only the truth, and some of their theories have been proven wrong, but instead of sticking by a false truth, they search for a new one. We havn't gotten everything figured out yet in this world. But we keep searching. A long time ago everyone beleived without a doubt that the world was flat and that they would fall off the edge if they went near it. We now know this is silly, but back then if you would have argued against it they would think you were a nut. It took intelligent people to go and explore for themselves to find out that the earth is in fact round.
