favoured kinetically?

Is it possible that the experiment has shown that the compound actually formed is Li4SiO4(500 degree temperature) whereas the calculation using VASP show that Li2SiO3 has the lowest energy of formation. Could we conclude that at 500 degree temperature the kinetically favoured compound is Li2SiO3 and not Li4SiO4
