  2. I'm fairly sure it is quite a bit more complicated than that. It depends on the solid you want to compress, how much you want to compress it, and maybe some other things I'm not aware of.
  3. Yeah I'm sure it depends on several things but I'm looking for a formula that will tell me exactly how much energy it will take.
  4. My question is fairly simple, yet the combined powers of Bing and Google cannot seem to answer it. How much energy does it take to compress a solid?
