  1. yeah our wolfs wore almost extinct before, and 175 wolfs is the highest number of wolfs for years, and for the cattle, you rarely see electric or high fences, and the worst part is, you know what my brothers teahcer said to him? "wolfs are very dangerous, they can attack people and bite them by the throat" so when he came home he thought so, i took a serious discussion with him after i heard what happened, i mean, what the hell? but its illegal to kill wolves here, and it will remain so judging by the looks of thye situation, i mean they are few who want to shoot wolfes, but they make themselves heard a lot, i mena if the law changed and wouild allow shooting of wolfs, something would be seriously wrong

anti-wolf people see this new increase of wolfs and think of the population of wolfs are gonna explode, and i heard this argument on a forum:look how much they increased this year and think that one female gives birth to 4 cubs a year, imagine how much wolfes wolfs there will be in 5 years! thousands!"

but little does he know how nature works

  2. this question might sound strange but im curious.

Which are your favorite/least favorite microorganisms?

my favorite: the Clostridium bacterias, amoebas and cyanobacteria. possibly flagellates but only some of them

least favorite:Viruses, although i don't know if i consider them organisms

  3. im so freaking tired of some peoples opinion about wolfs here in sweden.

i have debated in forum about this in swedens largest internet "community", people are upset because wolfs occasionally attacks dogs that are not under supervison by their owners, or their cattle occasionally gets attacked (all this happens on the countryside), and those f***ing morons want to short down the wolfpopulation in sweden, because they are afraid someday they grow to much, would be to less herbivores(those who are hunted by by hunters), and they become a threat to the people in villages because sometimes wolfs are spotted in small villages, talkning about them as they wore a deadly spreading virus. and we have more a less 175 wolfes in sweden, compared to spain and portugal for example who have 2000-3000, but you never hear them complainaing. selfish morons who get upset and wants to short down on wolfs just because they don't act as they desire to.

so i want to hear your opinions on this issue

*note:i maybe sounded generalising but i don't mean to, there are many against their opinions too, so all sweden isn't like this, only a little part of the hunter-families.

  4. im not sure what it is called in english, but the swedish short name for it is BTB, and maybe its the same in english, its a yellow-red liquid, that indicates pH, if you add to a acidic solution it turns yellow-red, if its added to a neutral solution it becomes green or if you add it to a alkaline solution it becomes blue. my question is, how is the chemical structure of the chemical, and what makes it change colour depending on acidic, neutral or alkaline solutions?

  5. The amount of energy produced by sun in a fraction of a second is more than what can be produced by burning all Earth's natural reserves of oil' date=' coal, wood and natural gas

source : nuclear fusion in Sun

Clorophyll for producing oxygen in leaf is exactly same in structure as hemoglobin of our body that absorbs oxygen

the only difference is of Mangnese in former and iron in latter

    Source : Photosynthesis

Glucose is cellulose reversed one is edible other is not

    Source chemistry of wood

i think its magnesium not manganese in clorophyll

  6. im 16 and im developing a huge interest in microbiology, and im thinking in buying a microscope, but they can be quite expensive, my question is: how strong microscope do you need to be able to see bacteria and unicelluar eukaryotes(sp?). i know the size can vary greatly, but im mostly interested in the bacillus-type. so im looking for something affordable but that lives up for my needs.

  7. i read in an article from a science magazine that titanic is being eaten by ironeating bacterias that eat 45 kg of iron from titanic per day, and in some hundred years there be only rests of the ship left. what is the name of the bacteria/s, and how does it process iron? does it oxidize it or what?

  8. in the 9th grade, half a year ago, we were supposed to make esters, and you could choose which carboxylic and alcohol to mix, and most of the esters produced smell much. i mixed isoamylalcohol with benzoic acid and after that bhutanol with butanoic acid, only remember the smell of the second one, smelled strong, but neither good or bad. some other group produced one who smelled terribly bad and another group made an ester that smelled like a mixture of pearlollipop and nailpolish... i should have made ethylacetate
