what would society be like if drugs weren't illegal? it is interesting trying to omagine. or maybe not even that but just like a scanner darkly or something where its illegal but like 50% of the population does it... i don't know if life then would be fascinating or just horrible

i mean like we have dozens of rockets tested each year, but nobody is really interested in going to the moon or to mars, right? so if we can get some rockets into space then in space where there's no air resistance, an extra gallon of fuel should create the inertia needed to send a rocket like 50 galaxies away, see if there's anything interesting there...
