  1. omg swansont i've solved it eureka old fellow! benjamin franklin...the resurrection of christ...good lord how could i not have seen it... benjamin franklin's frog...electricity passed through it causing it to twitch. thats how jesus came back to life! the lightning storm! the electricity possessed him-causing him to attain a sort of electrical energy, like benjamin franklin's frog. What do you guys think of this theory? @ Fie for all....;) only one side of the debate you say? oki doki. @ that dude who said i was deliberately wasting their time...actually not deliberately. incidentally might be a better word. but thats what debates are about, a waste of time garnered towards a conclusion attained via brainstorming
  2. me: hey swansont! you: yes? me: omg swansont i've solved it eureka old fellow! you: what the dickens are you babbling about man? me: benjamin franklin...the resurrection of christ...good lord how could i not have seen it you: steady! explain! me: benjamin franklin's frog...electricity passed through it causing it to twitch. you: and?? me: thats how jesus came back to life! the lightning storm! the electricity possessed him- you (finishing the sentence): -causing him to attain a sort of electrical energy, like benjamin franklin's frog? me: precisely! (nods eagerly) what do you guys think of this theory?
  3. if thats how you see it, i give up lol point 1: Do you have any evidence that people are under the impression that they will be resurrected, when they aren’t actually dead? <<<< not hard evidence, no, but if i went to church, with 'born again' playing on my lips like russian lullaby, it would be because i fancied myself a contendor to the jesus/frankestein crowd. 'yay! im gonna go to church, im gonna be born again like jesus!' point 2: if and only if the label on the bottle says 'spiritual' as opposed to 'physical' then my argument is invalid.
  4. ha. that's the nub, see. they advertise being 'born again'. well, what does born again mean? muses the churchgoer. they randomly pinpoint to jesus and say, 'oh, THAT born again. wow. if i go to church i can be born again like jesus. it's an attractive word, 'born again', 'ressurected from the dead. inviting to the gullible. the church uses psychology and deception to concote a deception called 'spiritual born again' using the jesus cover story. to illustrate. me: i got a diamond, want it? you: sure me: gives you a opal. you (assuming you are gullible): oh whatever, its still a diamond ill take it. you see my train of thought? when the bible speaks of born again, what does it refer to? the PHYSICAL born again. there's other 'born again' varieties out there? holy moly, like what? spirit rebirth thingamajig? the bible certainly wasnt talking about spirit rebirth when it said born again, was it? swansont, i use smileys and theatrics to get my point across in american english, such being not my first language. the accent difference makes it hard to communicate otherwise.
  5. i.e are there some people with more tendons in their muscles than others, for instance.
  6. i refer to the new testament story that describes how jesus was crucified and then came back from the dead physically.
  7. every denomination agrees on one thing, if you are spiritually reborn you enter heaven. the point is, when the bible, as opposed to the church, speaks about said rebirth, they referring to physical rebirth like frankenstein. scientifically dubious perhaps the idea of resurrection.
  8. the point im kinda tryna make is...when they say 'born again' and point to jesus, everybody gushes with anticipation. can we be as jesus? sons of god? spiritually, says the church. but using the physical rebirth and 'spiritual' rebirth interchangeably...
  9. my issue with christianity/churches is that why the hell would i go to church to pursue a 'spirit rebirth'? if you can teach me how to come back to life from the physical death, that i'd love to do. but churches dont teach us how.
  10. Christianity advocates spirit rebirth. That's what the born again christian thing is all about. A million dollar industry. But Jesus came back to life PHYSICALLY. Teach me how to achieve physical reincarnation and I'll go to church, so to speak. The point is, are churches calling the spirit rebirth (be born again or suffer in hell) the same thing as the physical rebirth? If so aint that a lie against the bible? Spirit rebirth= born again = what happened to jesus = untrue. Jesus= born again physically like frankenstein. No spirit mumbo jumbo in the resurrection. Thoughts?
