Reaction inside a salt water fuel cell
I have this salt water car kit in which the power source is 3 components - a magnesium sheet, a "non-woven fabric" and an "air cathode". When I stack these with the fabric in the centre after soaking the fabric with salt water, it generates a potential difference in the whole thing. Can anyone please explain how this happens? I really need a reaction for this and a description would be really nice.

A question about Graphics Processing Units
I have been learning some things about GPUs lately and I have learnt that the basic difference between a CPU and a GPU is that a GPU has MUCH more cores than a CPU, but those cores are not as flexible as those of a CPU, and all of them work in parallel. So what does Apple mean when they say that their M1 SoC has a "8-core GPU" ? Wouldn't that be too underpowered? Then how does it perform so well? Or is it ( as I am guessing ) that they don't literally mean an octa-core GPU, and mean that a "8-block GPU" or something?

Free software for digital logic design?
Hello. Can anyone suggest some free (preferrably open-source) software for digital circuit design? I cannot find ones that are built exactly for this, and have "componentize" features. Also, if I want to build a simple, virtual CPU, is using Minecraft a good option? ( I know its not free, but still just wanted to put this out there... )

How do you manage anger for what is happening to this world?
Being scientific people, I believe that most of us would probably have been frustrated about climate change, and all the things that are happening. My question is simple. How do you manage that anger? People tell me that this is something we can't control, or it is something "off topic". WHAT ELSE IS THE TOPIC? I just want to know if you also think that humans are afraid of building bigger things and taking bold steps.

What generates idle heat in CPUs?
Yes exactly. Sorry I couldn't frame it right. So does the clock itself produce this, or are there components connected to the clock that keep switching ( I want to know about those compnoents, what they are, counters maybe? ), does that produce the heat, or just the clock portion?

What generates idle heat in CPUs?
Imagine a CPU sitting idle. It doesn't have any program loaded, nor is it a part of some large system. It is just connected to power. What parts of the CPU are used during this time?

CPU Architecture
How can I get started to learn more about designing a computer? I have basic knowledge of components like Registers, Adders, Latches, and I can design a simple Von Neuman Architecture computer that can perform basic operations. How do I evolve past that? I have a book called "Digital Logic and Computer Organisation" to study more about the topic. I have also watched Ben Eater videos about building a simple 8-bit computer from scratch. Can anyone recommend any further material? Some website or forum dedicated specifically to this? Any free software tools to design logic circuits? Would be really helpful.

A question about quantum entanglement
How would 2 quantum-entangled particles interact with each other if one of them was placed in a gravitational field strong enough to distort time for that particle with a considerable deviation? Would there be any lag? If so, doesn't that contradict quantum entanglement?

Evaporating a small percentage of ocean water into space
Could we build structures similar to space elevators that use water as a heat-carrying source and spray it into space to reduce the global temperature? Considering that we could one day have the technology to build the structure ( keeping money out of the question ), how much ocean water would we need to evaporate to reach comfortable global temperatures? And also could doing that really work? What would be the effects on ocean life?
