Good morning! I am writing to you on behalf of the Inspiring Science Association. We are a non profit organization whose main goal is to enhance and encourage scientific vocations. We want to inspire young people to pursue a career in science by showing them how research is conducted and what it is like to be a scientist. To do so, we are preparing the International Science Engagement Challenge (ISEC), a two-week summer camp in the small village of Baños de Montemayor, Spain. During these two weeks, participants between 16-24 years old will have the opportunity to work on a scientific project designed to fit their interests and scientific background. These projects are challenging, while simultaneously intended to be an introduction to scientific research: students will have to work independently, delve into the available literature, and write a scientific report. They will work under the supervision and guidance of one of our knowledgeable mentors, who will support, guide, and encourage al throughout camp. We are currently receiving applications! We would sincerely appreciate if you could share this information with whomever you know that may be interested. No background or special skills are needed, however applicants must be between the ages of 16 and 24 and should have a passion for science!
